Ayer Panas Revisit

Thanks to Heng Khung allowing me to reproduce these pics to be shared by all.
Sagil Village. On the way from Tangkak to Ayer Panas.
This used to be the first landing spot upon arrival at Ayer Panas. Stock up on drinks from the Tey family provision shop, before proceeding through rubber estate track to the waterfall. Gunung Ledang mountain range at the background.
Hilly terrain from the balcony of the estate manager's residence.
Another view from the same house. Fresh unpolluted air.
Indian temple serving the spritual needs of the workforce. Indian temple sited on private land, recipe for potential dispute when development comes in.
Stone-age equatorial trees. Hope corrupt officers working with greedy timber merchants will not come in with their chain-saw to harvest the wood.
The Pillais' Residence in the early days.

Jackfruit tree. Unattended so you see the blemises on the skin.
The leaves of the Traveller's Palm, young shoot, matured leaves and dying ones. From the soil it cometh and return it will.

Best worker in the world though abit slow.
Heng Khung says this is Fig tree (wu-hua guo). I haven't seen one before, so take it as is.
Post card picture of the waterfall.
The steep slope is a journey of no return. To be admired only.
The waterfall is within the Ayer Panas resort. An entrance fee is collected but is free for guest of the resort. Good for some quiet get-away or company functions.

Resort World Singapore

On 4 September 2010, Nerines Seng and Kim Teck met Tang and Yok Chan at the Resort World Singapore.
This is picture of Nerines Seng, Tang Chin Neo and Kim Teck at their hotel.
It was Nerines and myself first visit to RWS, so Yok Chan had waited for us at Vivocity and then we took the monorail to RWS.
We were treated to a nice lunch by Tang at the hotel restaurant and then mooncakes, fruits and chocolates at their room. I took back some chocolate gold ingots for wealth creation. Well I ended up working non stop the next few days after that and thanks to the ingots, my production operators have to work OT this week end, something not done since 1 year ago!

Ms Tey Siew Choo

Low Choon Foi contributed this photo of Ms Tey Siew Choo, Ledang Primary English School teacher 1964. For many of us, it is time to revive those deep-seated memories, already superimposed by many other layers of so-called life's trials and tribulations.

Welcome to Our Ledang News and Happenings

The Ledang Blogs are already 1 year old. I am taking this opportunity to review them with an eye to make them more interesting.
First of all, the blog address will be changed to a simplier one that everyone can remember better. The new address is: http://www.ledangnews.blogspot.com
Secondly, I will post any news or happenings from among us in this blog so that anyone who opens the blog knows what the latest news or happenings are. If you can spare some of your time to write to me, I will get it posted. Remember, the whole world can see what is written or posted, so the decision is yours. You might want your other friends to see a grand occassion of yours without having you to put up a blog yourself and this is a good vehicle for your friends and us to know it.
Wedding bash in Singapore
Chee Nong's daughter, Angela's wedding can be seen if you click on her name
unfortunately the bride and bridegroom's pictures were not taken. Maybe Chee Nong can send some over to me to get them posted.

Irene's daughter, Anne David is getting married this week-end, 18 November,2006.
I cannot be there and I understand it will also be kind of gatherings of the Ledang friends at the wedding which will be held at St. Paul's Church, Lorong Utara Kecil, Petaling Jaya.
Hope it will be an enjoyable weekend for all those there. Can somebody send me some pictures after the occassion?
